Sunday, 18th August 2024, The 19th August is the day which is celebrated as Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Day to honor the sacred birth of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman, born in 1959. As the perfect spiritual guide of this era and Founder and Patron in Chief of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr, he has dedicated his life to spreading the teachings of Islamic mysticism, The path of Faqr and teachings of Sultan bahoo. This day is marked with great reverence and joy by his followers worldwide.
The celebrations are centered at Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, where devotees gather for a special ceremony on the night of August 18th. The event is filled with spiritual fervor, beginning with prayers and Sufi chants, followed by a mesmerizing horse dance that symbolizes the valor and spiritual strength of the Sufi tradition. The night sky is illuminated with vibrant fireworks, adding a festive aura to the occasion.
One of the highlights of the event is the cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity and the sweet rewards of following the path of Faqr. Devotees express their love and admiration for Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen through various cultural performances, creating an atmosphere of devotion and celebration.
