On Friday, 25th October 2024, the team of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr conducted a spiritually enriching preaching session in Dervesh Kot near Bahria Town, Lahore. This important mission was led by Professor Sultan Hafiz Hammad-ur-Rehman, who was joined by dedicated team members Maulana Yasir Yaseen, Mohammad Nadeem, Mohammad Hussain, and Wajid Ali. Together, they aimed to spread the enlightening message of Faqr and bring the community closer to the essence of Islamic spirituality.
The primary goal of this session was to invite the public to experience the profound blessings of being in the company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman, the esteemed spiritual successor of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). The team emphasized the importance of spiritual guidance and conveyed how Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s teachings offer a unique path to spiritual growth and Divine connection. They invited attendees to receive the Ism-e-Azam—the supreme name of Allah—under his guidance, explaining how the invocation and contemplation of this name lead to inner peace, success, and proximity to the Divine.
Professor Sultan Hafiz Hammad-ur-Rehman, along with his team, extended an open invitation to the community to join the Bazm-e-Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen gathering that would be held later in the week. This gathering is a sacred event where spiritual seekers gather to engage in Zikr (remembrance of Allah) and Muraqaba (spiritual contemplation) under the guidance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. The team explained how attending these gatherings strengthens one’s connection with Allah and deepens the understanding of Faqr (spiritual poverty), the ultimate path of self-purification and Divine love in Islam.
To further support this mission, the team distributed copies of the Monthly Sultan-ul-Faqr Lahore to those present. This publication is a valuable resource for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Tasawwuf (Islamic mysticism) and provides insights into the teachings of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. The magazine includes practical guidance, reflections on Islamic spirituality, and articles that can inspire one to lead a life of purpose, peace, and Divine awareness.
The event also served as an invitation for the public to participate in the upcoming Urs of Syedna Ghaus al-Azam—a commemoration honoring the life and teachings of one of the most revered Sufi saints in Islamic history. Attending this Urs allows people to celebrate the legacy of Syedna Ghaus al-Azam, a saint known for his wisdom, piety, and dedication to the path of spiritual enlightenment. This gathering not only offers spiritual rejuvenation but also serves as a reminder of the powerful impact that true spiritual mentors have on guiding humanity toward Allah.
The Dervesh Kot preaching session highlighted the key message of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr: that true success and peace come from aligning one’s life with Divine guidance, embracing the teachings of Faqr, and nurturing an unbreakable bond with Allah. The guidance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is seen as a transformative journey, where one learns to transcend material desires, embrace humility, and lead a life illuminated by Divine love.
Through events like these, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr continues its mission to spread the wisdom of Faqr, inviting people from all walks of life to come closer to their spiritual selves and foster a connection with the Divine that leads to eternal success. The dedication and commitment of Professor Sultan Hafiz Hammad-ur-Rehman and his team inspire countless others to embark on a journey of self-discovery, inner peace, and unity with the Divine, making a meaningful impact on individuals and communities alike.
