Lahore, Oct 30, 2024 –In response to the rising smog levels in Lahore, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr has released a set of community-focused guidelines to promote public health and environmental responsibility. With the city facing hazardous air quality, the organization aims to raise awareness and encourage preventive measures against smog-related health issues.
The guidelines recommend practical steps such as wearing masks outdoors, using air purifiers indoors, and limiting outdoor activities, especially for vulnerable groups like children, the elderly, and those with respiratory issues. Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr also emphasized reducing vehicle usage by opting for carpooling, public transport, or walking short distances, aiming to decrease air pollution from emissions. Additionally, the organization encouraged planting more trees, which help improve air quality and provide long-term environmental benefits.

Highlighting the spiritual aspect of environmental stewardship, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr reminded citizens of their duty to care for the Earth, a principle deeply rooted in Islamic teachings. Through these efforts, the organization hopes to inspire collective responsibility for cleaner air, contributing to both public health and a sustainable environment.
